The neighborhood of Justicia (literally, Justice, because of The Supreme Court of Justice) has always been an area of contrasts: born as an industrial area in 18th century, it became aristocratic in the 19th; later, from being a conservative neighborhood around the Salesas, it turned into trendy area around Chueca Square. And this aspect seems to overshadow that trendy, present day Chueca has also a fascinating past.

Palaces, convents, taverns, centennial trades, … all these institutions create this neighborhood of contrasts, where monuments stand next door to picturesque corners.

If you wish a private guided tour of Madrid’s neighborhood of Justicia / Chueca, fill the form and we will contact you. We recommend one hour and a half.
